A life-long Sullivan County resident, Angie Stanley is a small business owner, a wife, and a mother. Angie currently serves as a Sullivan County Commissioner and represents Sullivan County’s 7th district. She's running for Sullivan County Mayor because we need to put a stop to the dysfunction of our county government. Angie will bring much-needed common sense to the mayor's office by improving transparency, opposing massive government spending while reducing the $300 million debt.

As a Commissioner, Angie works successfully to balance the budget, cut taxes, and protect the most vulnerable in her community. She has held firm to her conservative values and continues to be a leader that pursues pro-growth policies. She has introduced and supported legislation to improve public education in Sullivan County and create opportunities for workers in the community. Angie is committed to improving the welfare and quality of life for our veterans and their families. She helped pass a resolution to increase access to benefits for veterans with disabilities.

Angie has been the owner and operator of a successful small business in Colonial Heights for over 30 years. She knows what it takes to run a business and balance a budget. Angie has a history of investing in her community. She has served on the board of directors of multiple non-profits including; the United Way of Greater Kingsport and Sullivan South Area Community Chest.

Angie has been married for over 20 years to Chuck Stanley, and together they have two wonderful children. As a mother, she also has a keen interest in protecting the safety and security of Sullivan County families. Her children motivate her every day to fight for a better community and a stronger economy for all Sullivan County families. Angie is a devout Christian and is active in her local Methodist church. If elected, Angie pledges to serve with an honest and moral dedication while putting Sullivan County first!
