Not one of the good ol' boys

Dear Sullivan County,

As chairman of the school board I worked or tried to work with Mayor Venable for four years he continually tried to take money from the school system. He first tried to take $1.9 million from Sullivan County. He did take $2 million from Kingsport and $1 million from Bristol the same year. He took every penny of our renovation money, $1.6 million. In 2015, taxes were raised $0.27 with three cents being designated to school renovation every penny of that money $1.6 million was taken from the school system. Just this past year without a vote or without any commissioners input the mayor and Larry Bailey Took $300,000 out of our budget without even telling anyone. Which could result in the school system having to charge booster clubs for using our facilities. All of this is well documented. Anyone who would like to meet with me personally and see the proof is more than welcome. I would be happy to do so. Angie Stanley was constantly in touch with me and stayed in constant communication with me. It is time for a change, and Angie Stanley can put us in the right direction. I hope you will join me in supporting her for Sullivan County Mayor.

vOTE FOR CHANGE

As a tax paying citizen of the county, I am tired of the tax raises supported by the current mayor. Angie Stanley promises to stop all that nonsense. She knows the importance of addressing problems as they come, not delaying them for years until the price of a solution puts the county in a historical debt like we have now from the new jail and school. When Kingsport Mayor Pat Shull was a commissioner, he stated the need for a planning committee to avoid being in the debt situation we are in currently. At that time the chairman of the commissioners, Richard Venable, had a vote and voted against forming a progressive long term strategic planning committee focusing on the future needs of the county. My vote will be to make a difference by voting for change. I'm voting Angie Stanley for Sullivan County Mayor!
